Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
